Any sponsor can ask that their ad be interactive. Meaning, the call to action might be to ‘press 1 now’ to connect to the retail store or the operator to make a purchase or to get additional information.
The interactivity feature has several distinct advantages.
If a listener wants to ‘buy now’, they can.
If a listener wants more information, they can listen as long as ther advertiser supplies it. This can be via live operator, or a sponsor recoded premise-based message, or any combination thereof.
The daily report will indicate exactly who elected to respond to an interactive ad, and provide the telephone number of that caller, along with the date, time, and zip code. These highly motivated, self-identified responders are available for immediate follow up.
